Bi disc made of good quality very light celadon jade. It is finely carved and has a very nice shine. One side is covered with raised dots (nipples) while the other side is decorated with C-scrolls and a star design around the hole. It was found in London in 1968. We first believed that it dated from the middle of the Qing period (1644 - 1912) but we later discovered that similar discs are assigned a Ming dynasty (1368 – 1644) dating. Diameter 7.3 cm. Thickness 0.75 cm. Weight 83.2 grams.
