Greyish, chicken-bone, thumb ring (Banzhi) with an interesting decoration of a deer (Wealth & Longlife) and a Phoenix (Prosperity, Abundance, Peace) with four legs. The characters Chi kung (Lucky bow) and Cheng Yu (Right feather, referring to the feather on the Arrow) are carved in relief. The ring was acquired in London in 1969 and dates from the middle of the Qing dynasty (1644 - 1912). Diameter 3.2 cm. Height 2.4 cm. Weight 26.8 grams.
