White jade chop topped by a very nicely carved animal, most probably a dog. It dates from the Qing dynasty (1644 - 1912). The chop entered the Lowlands-collection from Macau in 2001. It reads 靜觀 (jing guan) which means ’viewing quietly’. Length 2.3 cm. Width 1.5 cm. Height 2.0 cm. Weight 13.8 grams.
