Absolutely gorgeous pure white 'mutton-fat' carving finely decorated with sea creatures. The fish of this carving symbolize 'Abundance', the snail stand for 'Good Fortune' and the shells are supposed to bring 'Good Luck'. There is little doubt, judging by its extremely fine carving and super quality material, that it dates from the Qianlong period (1735 - 1796). It was acquired in Hong Kong in 1989. Length 3.0 cm. Width 3.5 cm. Depth 1.9 cm. Weight 29.5 grams.
