Dark green Hetian jade disc. Dark green jade was used during the Ming period for making belt hooks but apparently jade flower discs were also made from the same dark green material. A similar type of flower (nr 418) is depicted in professor Cheng Te-k’un’s book ‘Jade Flowers and Floral Patterns in Chinese Decorative Art’。
