Jade collar clasp decorated with flowers. The flowers on the sides have five petals and can therefore be identified as Plum blossoms which represent the Five Blessings, Old age, Wealth, Health, Love of virtue and a Peaceful death. The central flower could be a Peony, flower of Wealth & Honor. The workmanship on the clasp is a little less refined than most of the other clasps in the Lowlands-collection and we therefore believe that it was made in the early Qing dynasty (1644 – 1912) but a late Ming date (1368 - 1644) is also very well possible.
