Agate flower with opaque spots – (1578)

Small bright red agate flower with a corona. Some parts on its surface have become opaque as a result of its age and humid conditions which is quite unusual with agate. A similar type of flower in jade (nr 90) is depicted in professor Cheng Te-k’un’s book ‘Jade Flowers and Floral Patterns in Chinese Decorative Art’。
