Light green jadeite four-petaled flower with a corona. Four-petaled flowers usually depict an Osmanthus blossom which symbolizes a wish to get Distinguished sons. The flower dates from the Qing period (1644 – 1912). See also Quick Find 1113 and 8120). This type of flower is not depicted in professor Cheng Te-k’un’s book ‘Jade Flowers and Floral Patterns in Chinese Decorative Art ‘.
