Celadon elongated flower with a silver inset in the shape of a chrysanthemum flower, symbol of Longevity, because of its health giving properties. The jade flower had a rough life as testified by the many chips on its borders. It is attached to a three-pronged hairpin by four coiled clamps. A similar type of flower (nr 273) is depicted in professor Cheng Te-k’un’s book ‘Jade Flowers and Floral Patterns in Chinese Decorative Art’。
