White jade flower of no less than five levels mounted on a simple silver brooch. In the centre is a blue cabochon which may be a sapphire but could just as well be glass. The brooch came from America and was most probably designed in Hong Kong in the 1930’s. A similar type of flower (nr 258) is depicted in professor Cheng Te-k’un’s book ‘Jade Flowers and Floral Patterns in Chinese Decorative Art’.
