Jade carving of a man on a lion made of light celadon green jade. The lion has a collar with a bell and the man is wearing a kind of beret and boots. The depiction of a man on a lion is typical of the Yuan period (1271 - 1368) to which this carving can also be attributed. We found it in an antiques shop on Hollywood Road, Hong Kong, in 1987.
