From the moment that we started collecting Chinese jades, more than 50 years ago, we began carving a wooden stand for each jade. We believe that a stand adds appeal especially if it is displayed in a cabinet. To show how we make stands, we have added photos of our last few endeavours. Required are rotary power tools, milling cutters, files, chisels, fine-toothed saws, different grades of sandpaper, water-based stain solution, lacquer and a lot of patience.
