Incense burner made of a sea green to dark green material. The monster mask handles and the lid have loose rings and on top a qilin (mythical animal) sticks his nose in the air. The object is well carved and dates from the Qing period (1644 - 1912). It was acquired from Cserno Antiques on the Spiegelgracht in Amsterdam in 1968. Height without stand 14 cm. Width from grip to grip 13 cm. Diameter pot 9 cm.
