Feather holder of very light greyish white jade with a beautiful 'skin'. Once it held peacock feathers and was attached to the hat finial of a mandarin of high rank. This one is of very nice quality and dates from the middle of the Qing period (1644 - 1912). It was acquired from antiques dealer mr Lee on Hollywood Road, Hong Kong in 1989. Length 6.7 cm.
