A sword guard like this formed the connection between the blade and the grip of a sword (See last photo). This one is made of a yellow jade with brown spots. It dates from the Warring States (475 - 221BCE) to the Western Han period (206BCE - 25AD) and was added to our collection in Hong Kong in 1992. Length 5.5 cm. Depth 2.3 cm. Height 1.7 cm. Weight 23.0 grams.
