A lotus pod and stem as well as a small lotus flower are carved from a pale celadon green jade. One side has a little bit of 'skin' left. The lotus has the hidden meaning of 'Continuous Harmony' and a lotus stem and lotus pod shown together symbolize 'Marital Harmony'. This carving dates from the Qing period (1644 - 1912) and came from the Rudolph Voll collection in California in 2013. Length 5.1 cm. Width 3.7 cm. Depth 0.68 cm. Weight 23.3 grams.
