Round pendant made of pure white jade with a boy reading a book on one side and with four characters on the other. The pendant dates from the middle of the Qing period (1644 - 1912) and was given to us in 1990 by mr Joseph Cheuk, a close friend in Hong Kong. The inscription reads 'yi tuan he qi' (一团和气) which means 'Stay on good terms with everyone'. Diameter 4.6 cm. Thickness 0.88 cm. Weight 36.6 grams.
