This seal was most probably made in Suzhou in the Qianlong period (1736 - 1795). The carver used the brown streak in the stone to create a bridge on top of the light greenish grey seal. The carving of the bridge is exquisite and consists of very fine C-scrolls. The inscription has been ground off which was a common practice when the owner passed away. Length 2.8 cm. Width 2.0 cm. Height 2.2 cm. Weight 25.7 grams.
