Hairpin made of dark green jade decorated with a 'Putai', the 'Laughing Buddha' and a bat (Fu = Happiness). 'Putai or Budai is the God of Contentment and Happiness. The hairpin dates from the Qing period (1644 - 1912) and entered the collection from Yangzhou in 2009. Length 17.0 cm. Width 1.9 cm. Thick 0.37 cm.
