Simple hairpin made of a very light celadon jade. Viewed from the side the tip appears to be carved in the shape of a flower and the neck is decorated with a shou (long life) symbol. The hairpin dates from the end of the Qing (1644 - 1912) or early Republic period (1912 - 1947). It was acquired in Shanghai in 2009. Length 12.0 cm. Width 1.17 cm. Thick 0.35 cm.
