Smoothly rounded flat river pebble with a dark brown skin which completely hides the color of the jade. The pebble was acquired at a market in Shanghai in 2019. There were doubts whether it was jade so we opened a small window on its side to see what was within. Inside is a whitish grey jade and there is little doubt that the pebble originates from the Uyghur Autonomous Region in China. Length 5.4 cm. Width 3.6 cm. Thick 1.3 cm. Weight 45.0 grams.
