We acquired this superb pebble during our visit to Hetian in 1993. The jade is of a beautiful 'mutton fat' white quality and the 'skin' in the shape of a flower or a horseman wearing a sombrero has a gorgeous color. But even more interesting is the inside. When held against a strong light there is a natural vein in the stone which resembles the bottle of Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy. This is a very curious phenomenon. The pebble has been left untouched and is still in the same condition as when it was found in the White Jade River, the Yurungkash, in Xinjiang. Width 2.8 cm. Height 2.9 cm. Depth 1.5 cm. Weight 25 grams.
