Grey jade river pebble with a greenish tinge. It shows signs of breaking off from a larger piece of jade and then being smoothed again by tumbling hundreds of years in a stream. The pebble entered the collection from Shanghai in 2017 but originally it came from the city of Hetian (formerly known as Khotan) which lies in the southern part of the Uyghur Autonomous Region in China. Length 4.4 cm. Width 3.3 cm. Depth 1.87 cm. Weight 42 grams.
