Gilt belt clasp decorated with bats - (3462)

Small bronze belt clasp which is heavily gilt and in great condition. It is decorated with two endless knots (one of the Eight Treasures which ‘ties together’), two bats (Double Happiness), four lingzhi fungus (said to bring a long life) and a shou character in the centre which also symbolizes longevity. The clasp dates from the Qing period (1644 – 1912). Length 6.9 cm.
