Finial of a whip or dagger - Eastern Zhou period - (2434)

Once this bronze object could have graced the grip of a whip or it could have been part of a dagger. Its exact purpose is not clear to us. The finial is decorated with entwined serpents on the top and dates from the Eastern Zhou period (770 – 256BC). Length 5.5 cm.
