Small bronze vase with a trumpet-shaped opening and handles embellished with mythical animal heads. The body of the vase has four panels showing depictions of song birds, the details of which have been engraved. A Dragon encircles the foot of the vase and the neck has a series of Ruyi-shaped decorations. A Dragon symbolizes Fertility and the Ruyi-shapes wish the owner of the vase everything he desires. The vase dates from the late Qing (1644 – 1912) to the early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Height 9.2 cm. Diameter rim 7.7 cm. Diameter base 5.7 cm.
