Two silver inlaid bronze objects which were originally attached to the posts at the back of a chariot where the charioteer would climb aboard. They served a practical and decorative purpose and must have belonged to an influential person. Both finials are inlaid with silver whirls and date from the Warring States (475 – 221BC) to the Western Han period (206BC – 25AD). Height 7.6 cm. Diameter top 3.9 cm.
