Two rings which once formed the rims of a vessel or pot made of a material which has deteriorated long ago. The last photo shows an example of such a vessel. The rims are cast in bronze and inlaid with geometric patterns in silver. The pair date from the Warring States period (475 – 221 BC). Diameter of both rims 21.8 cm. Rim height 3.2 & 3.6 cm. Rim width 2.0 & 2.2 cm. The weight differs. One rim weighs 480 grams and judged by the wear and tear most probably served as the bottom rim. The other one weighs 690 grams.
