Bronze parasol-rib end which was used to keep the silk covering of a parasol stretched. A parasol had about 15 of these ends and was always part of a chariot, in this case a miniature one. These and other bronze items were buried together with the deceased to be used in the afterlife. The Han Period from which it dates, lasted from 206 BC to AD 220. Length 5.8 cm. Diameter 1.3 cm.
