Gilt bronze ferrule which was once attached (with ten to fifteen others) to the end of a parasol rib. The parasol formed part of a chariot. The silk which formed the parasol was hooked onto the thorn on the side of this object which dates from the Han period (206BC – 220AD). Length 8,4 cm. Diameter of the flower ca 5 cm.
