Flat rectangular brass seal. The seal script is very sharp and clear. One side bears an inscribed well-known poem from the Tang dynasty.(唐•孟浩然) The poet describes waking up in the morning and hearing chirping birds and seeing flowers, in this case plum flowers with their five petals which symbolize the Five Blessings, Old age, Health, Wealth, Love of Virtue and a Peaceful death. The seal most probably dates from the Republic period (1912 – 1949). Height 4.3 cm. Width 1.5 cm. Depth 0.6 cm. Weight 25.9 grams.
