Dark green chop topped by a turtle. The design points at a Ming date. The use of dark green Hetian jade moreover ties in with this model of chop as dark green jade was quite commonly used during the Ming period (1368 - 1644). It reads 竹香 (zhu xiang) which is the name of the previous owner. The chop was acquired in Hong Kong in 1989. Height 2.4 cm. Width 2.5 cm. Depth 2.6 cm. Weight 33.0 grams.
