Small dark brown shoushan-stone seal topped by a mythological creature called ‘Bixie’ looking backwards. The carver of this seal is Wang Fu An (王福庵) whose name is inscribed on one side. He was a well-known calligrapher and engraver who also went by the names Wang Ti (王褆) and Wang Fu Chang (王福厂). Wang who lived from 1880 – 1960 was one of the founders of the ‘Xileng Printing Society’ (西冷印社社员). Height 4.4 cm. Width 3.1 cm. Depth 3.1 cm.
