Well-carved shoushan-stone seal in the shape of a Dragon chasing the ‘Flaming Pearl’. Chinese Dragons are legendary creatures in Chinese mythology and folklore. The Dragon is a symbol of Power, Strength and Good Luck. The Pearl which is chased by this Dragon is associated with Spiritual Energy, Wisdom, Power, Prosperity and Immortality. This seal bears the name of well-known seal-carver ‘Feng Kanghou’ (冯康候) who lived from 1901 to 1983. Feng was also an accomplished calligrapher. Height 5.4 cm. Width 5.3 cm. Depth 5.2 cm.
