A pig has been tied upside down on a wooden structure and a man who seems to be holding a knife is just about to start slaughtering it. Another man shows great interest in what’s going on. The deep-carved armorial shows a seated lion wearing a crown which is the family crest of Sir Kildare Dixon Borrowes (Baronet). The ring around the crest is decorated with a crane, a creature which looks like a scorpion as well as rocks, flowers, a house and a tree. The intricately fretted border is decorated with flowers. The counter dates from the Daoguang period (道光 1820 – 1850). Diameter 4.2 cm. Thickness 0.26 cm.
