In this interesting scene a man with a plume or decoration on the front of his hat grabs a large cat, most probably meant to be a tiger, by the tail while he puts a foot on its head. The background is formed by a landscape with mountains, trees and houses. There’s also a cone-shaped object in the centre background which we have seen before but have not been able to identify yet. The deep-carved armorial shows a seated lion wearing a crown which is the family crest of Sir Kildare Dixon Borrowes (Baronet). The ring around the crest is decorated with plants, houses, rocks, flowers, a bird and an unknown four-legged creature. The intricately fretted border is decorated with flowers. The counter dates from the Daoguang period (道光 1820 – 1850). Diameter 4.2 cm. Thickness 0.28 cm.
