Green glazed pottery tripod which dates from the Han period (206 BC - 202 AD). The three legs have the shape of squatting bears. Bears were a popular subject during the Han period. Jars like this were modeled after bronze ones which were used to warm and serve wine. The green glaze has degraded over time. Diameter 21 cm. Height 13 cm.
