Pig’s head on a platter – (0309-3)

Miniature dark brown glazed pottery pig’s head on a green glazed saucer. Objects such as this were often placed on a table together with other food items. We have seen a number of them that were attached to a table with glaze. This one dates from the Ming period (1368 – 1644). The size is larger than usual. Diameter at the rim 8.3 cm. Diameter at the base 3.7 cm. Height including head 5.8 cm. This item was sold at auction in 2022.
