Miniature green glazed pottery dish with three rectangular straw-glazed food items. We have a number of the same food items in the Lowlands-collection. One is crème-glazed. Are these blocks of tofu, or bread, or cake? Miniature pottery foodstuffs were often placed on a table together with other food items which makes us believe that they were offerings. This one dates from the Ming period (1368 – 1644). Diameter dish 5.3 cm. Height including food 3.8 cm. This item was sold at auction in 2022.
