Miniature dark green and brown glazed dish with a small fish. Objects such as this were often placed on a miniature pottery table together with other food items which makes us believe that they were offerings. Fish were considered as symbols of Abundance. Regrettably the saucer has a chip. It dates from the Ming period (1368 – 1644). Diameter dish 3.8 cm. Height including fish 1.5 cm. This item was sold at auction in 2022.
