Pair of aubergine and light blue glazed pottery screens. On the front of each screen are three panels decorated with lions. The top part depicts two running lions. The back sides are unglazed. The lion was a symbol of Protection as well as High Rank. The pair is in good condition and dates from the Ming period (1368 – 1644). Width 24.3 cm. Height 22.1 cm. Depth 7.2 cm. Thickness 1.5 cm.
