Rice containers – (1991)

Set of three miniature green glazed pottery rice containers. These were used to transport and to measure quantities of rice. It is rare to find a complete set of three. They are in good condition and date from the Ming period (1368 – 1644). Large container: Height 6.2 cm. Base 11.4 x 11.4 cm. Middle container: Height 4.8 cm. Top 8 x 8 cm. Base 4.9 x 4.9 cm. Small container: Height 3.3 cm. Top 5 x 5 cm. Base 3.2 x 3.2 cm.
