Bronze toggle in the shape of a baby boy with an impressive necklace who holds an unknown stick-like object in one hand. The depiction of a Boy symbolizes a wish for many sons. The toggle has been used for a long time as testified by the worn away facial features of the boy. It dates from the early Qing period (1644 – 1912) but could possibly have a Ming (1368 – 1644) date. Height 5.9 cm. Width 2.5 cm. Depth 1.8 cm.
