Small glazed porcelain dish which was used in opium houses to serve opium. The dish is decorated in blue with a fish and some scribbles which look like gnats. Similar dishes are depicted on page 391 of ‘The Chinese encounter with opium’ by K. Flow. It dates from the late Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1912) or early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Diameter 3 cm. Height 0.77 cm. This object is now owned by another collector.
