Porcelain opium serving dish - Fish - (2639)

Small glazed porcelain dish which was used in opium houses to serve opium. The dish is decorated in blue with something which resembles a fish. Similar dishes are depicted on page 391 of ‘The Chinese encounter with opium’ by K. Flow. It dates from the late Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1912) or early Republic period (1912 – 1947). Diameter 3 cm. Height 0.9 cm. This object is now owned by another collector.
