Agate snuff dish on which snuff tobacco was offered to visitors. Snuff is made from pulverized tobacco leaves. It is inhaled or ‘snuffed’ through the nose and usually causes a sneeze. This dish dates from the Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1912). Diameter 3.9 cm. Height 0.5 cm.
