Small tobacco box which is lacquered black. It is still in very good condition even though it dates from the late Qing period (1644 – 1912). A cord would keep the lid and the box together. It looks very similar to a Japanese ‘inro’ but it is definitely Chinese. Height 6.0 cm. Width 4.9 cm. Depth 3.4 cm.
