Silver hand mirror inlaid with semi-precious stones around a pale celadon jade carving of two peaches (Longevity). The grip is made of a pale celadon belt hook with the hook in the shape of a goose’s head. The silver rim of the mirror back is decorated with the objects belonging to the Eight Immortals. The mirror dates from the late Qing dynasty (1644 – 1912). The jade belt hook is however considerably older and may even be as early as the late Ming period (1368 – 1644). Total length 21.3 cm.
