Boxwood (huang yang mu) carved with a scene of Lao Zi (Lao Tzu) crossing the mountains on an ox led by a boy. Lao Zi was the creator of Daoism (Taoism). It is said that he crossed the Hangu Pass and was never seen again. 20th century. Length 32 cm.
