Silk purse with very fine embroidery in ‘Peking’ stitch. The design consists of Auspicious Flowers within circles. This is a very unusual decoration. The purse was made at the end of the Qing period (1644 – 1912) and looks almost like new despite its age. It has been handed from parent to child without ever having been used. Length 14.5 cm.
